Shipping Policy

Exclusively for Business Customers (B2B)

1. Scope of Application

This Shipping Policy applies exclusively to business customers (B2B) of True World Foods Germany GmbH.

It supplements our General Terms and Conditions of Sale, Delivery and Business (GTC).


2. Delivery Area

We deliver throughout Germany and to selected Member States of the European Union.

Deliveries to other countries are only available upon prior agreement.


3. Minimum Order Value

Minimum order values may apply depending on the delivery region.

The applicable minimum order value will be displayed during the ordering process or stated in an individual quotation.


4. Shipping Methods

Depending on the type of goods and delivery destination, shipments may be made using:

  • our own refrigerated delivery vehicles;

  • parcel services;

  • freight forwarding companies;

  • refrigerated freight carriers;

  • frozen goods logistics providers; or

  • other authorised logistics partners.

Unless otherwise agreed, True World Foods Germany GmbH shall determine the appropriate shipping method.


5. Delivery Times

Delivery times are estimates only unless expressly confirmed in writing as binding.

Estimated delivery times may vary depending on:

  • order receipt;

  • product availability;

  • delivery destination;

  • required temperature conditions;

  • transport capacity;

  • public holidays; and

  • governmental or logistical restrictions.


6. Chilled and Frozen Products

Chilled and frozen products are transported under appropriate temperature-controlled conditions.

The customer is responsible for:

  • accepting the goods immediately upon delivery;

  • maintaining the cold chain after delivery; and

  • storing the goods immediately under appropriate temperature conditions.

Responsibility for maintaining the cold chain transfers to the customer upon delivery.


7. Partial Deliveries

Partial deliveries are permitted where reasonable for the customer.

Each partial delivery shall be regarded as an independent delivery.


8. Delivery Address

The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

Additional costs resulting from incorrect address information or failed delivery attempts may be charged to the customer.


9. Acceptance of Delivery

The customer must ensure that:

  • an authorised person is available to receive the delivery;

  • the delivery location is accessible for the delivery vehicle;

  • suitable unloading facilities are available; and

  • chilled and frozen products can be accepted and stored immediately.

If delivery cannot be completed due to reasons attributable to the customer, additional charges may apply.


10. Transfer of Risk

The risk of accidental loss or deterioration of the goods passes to the customer upon delivery to the customer or the customer's authorised representative.

Where the customer collects the goods, the risk transfers upon handover.


11. Inspection of Delivery

The customer must inspect the goods immediately upon receipt.

The following should be checked in particular:

  • completeness of the delivery;

  • correct quantity;

  • packaging condition;

  • visible damage;

  • temperature condition; and

  • any apparent transport damage.

Any discrepancies must be reported immediately in accordance with our General Terms and Conditions and Return and Refund Policy.


12. Delivery Delays

Delivery may be delayed due to circumstances including, but not limited to:

  • force majeure;

  • traffic disruptions;

  • strikes;

  • severe weather conditions;

  • customs inspections;

  • governmental measures;

  • supply shortages from upstream suppliers; or

  • other unforeseen events beyond our reasonable control.

In such cases, delivery periods shall be extended for a reasonable period.

Claims for damages arising from delivery delays shall only exist to the extent required by applicable law.


13. Shipping Charges

Shipping charges are calculated based on factors including:

  • delivery destination;

  • weight;

  • volume;

  • required temperature conditions;

  • shipping method; and

  • number of pallets.

The applicable shipping costs will be shown during checkout or stated in the quotation.


14. Customer Collection

Collection by the customer is only possible by prior appointment.

Upon handover of the goods to the customer or the customer's carrier, all risks, including responsibility for maintaining the cold chain, transfer to the customer.


15. Retention of Title

The delivered goods remain the property of True World Foods Germany GmbH until full payment has been received.

The provisions of our General Terms and Conditions of Sale, Delivery and Business shall apply additionally.
